What does a typical graduate rotation look like?
Joining one of our key business areas, you’ll begin your Merrill Lynch career in New York as part of our intensive induction programme. This introduction to the firm will also allow you the opportunity to meet, work and socialise with other new Analysts from around the world.

On return to your local office, you’ll quickly get to grips with vital professional skills, whilst we provide you with a thorough grounding in all of the fundamental tools, techniques and work practices you’ll need to succeed.

How many graduate places do you anticipate offering in 2007?
120 full-time Analysts (across Global Markets, Investment Banking, Research and Technology) and 110 Summer Interns.

As a penultimate year student, you’ll gain an invaluable insight into Merrill Lynch with our ten-week summer programme. Get to know our culture, offices and working environment, whilst finding out more about the Financial Services industry. Through exposure to our business, training from industry experts and on-the-job experience, your ability to prove yourself could lead to a full-time job offer following your graduation.

What should interns know about you before applying?
Ambitious, confident and highly motivated, you’ll be a natural team player with a desire for a future in financial services. Whatever your academic background, you’ll have an inquiring mind with the ability to communicate complex messages in a clear, simple way.

What will make you stand out from the crowd is your potential for strong commercial acumen, along with your ability to demonstrate our core values, including integrity, responsible citizenship and respect for the individual. Relevant work experience and foreign languages are also an advantage.
