FULL-TIME GRADUATE HIRES

Our Global Associate Programme is designed to develop our future investment professionals. Successful candidates are given a swift, broad introduction to asset management, then commence in-depth structured training along their chosen career path whilst completing a CFA qualification.

Training offered:

Our two-year programme enables the associate to develop the all-round capabilities of a portfolio manager. Fundamental to the programme is a series of placements in a variety of roles across our business, providing an essential understanding of investment management “from settlements to sales”. During these placements, each associate will spend time overseas, will be supported by a personal mentor, and will study for the CFA qualification.

On completion of the programme, each associate will be ready to fill a key role in an investment centre.

Skills required:

Candidates should have an exceptional academic record, the ‘drive' to achieve, strong team orientation, high quality communication and influencing skills, a strong analytical mind and a commitment to a long-term career in investment management as well as a keen interest in the financial markets.

UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS

Our ten-week Summer Internship is opened to undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study, typically between July/September.

Candidates will have a keen intellect, strong analytical and numerical skills with superior qualifications and exceptional academic achievement coupled with a strong desire to work for a global asset manager.

Working with seasoned investment professionals, the Internship will provide you with an insight into the Asset Management industry alongside gaining true hands-on experience within investment management. It is designed to be a challenging, educational and enjoyable learning experience for those who are considering a career with an International Asset Manager.

The programme is geared to give you a thorough vision of our global business and will provide you with practical experience before you make your first step in your career.

You will be given an induction and industry training in your first week. You will then join your team where you will remain for the duration of the internship. This will enable you to become integrated into the team and to be assigned challenging projects to work on.

During this experience, you will have access to all of our Investment professionals. You will have the opportunity to learn from some of the asset management industry’s best portfolio managers and analysts. You may find that your internship is the first step towards a career with Fortis Investments. Successful interns will be considered for our Global Associate Programme.
