FULL-TIME GRADUATE HIRES

Full-time and internship opportunities

For ambitious candidates who want to be at the cutting edge of the financial markets, ICAP presents an opportunity to carve out a real career in a global, high-performing organisation that it is at the forefront of its industry. We currently recruit candidates for our full-time and internship programmes into the following areas:

Broking

ICAP provides a specialist intermediary broking services to commercial banks and investment banks in the wholesale financial markets. An interdealer broker works in these markets to draw together liquidity and to match buyers and sellers so that deals can be executed by its banking customers. Banks pay a commission when they use a broker to complete a deal. ICAP offers banks significant economies of scale in price discovery by having a number of staff covering each product and in constant contact with a range of counterparties. Access to a broker therefore allows a bank to increase market coverage in busy times without incurring additional overheads. Candidates will have opportunities across all product areas including derivatives, fixed income securities, money market products, foreign exchange, energy, credit and equity derivatives.

Information Technology

The technology team provides the infrastructure, support and software that keeps ICAP ahead of its competitors and ensures that we are able to provide the best solutions for our clients. Our aim is to deliver world-class technology solutions to support and enhance our business, maximise performance and establish ICAP as the interdealer of choice. A growing acceptance and demand for electronic dealing technology is driving new business models and our acquisition of EBS (the market’s leading electronic spot broker) in April 2006 set ICAP ahead of the game in terms of our platform for electronic trading.

Finance

ICAP’s Finance team is crucial to the success of our business. Responsible for overseeing all the financial details of the company, Finance is at the core of everything we do. This includes the preparation of year-end financials as well as ongoing evaluations and analysis. Finance is the business partner for senior management, covering the information on business development and the respective analysis when they need it as well as the review of the Businesses' strategies. In addition to the global orientation of the programme you’ll train alongside your peers for New York, London and Sydney and you will also be fully supported to obtain the appropriate professional CIMA/ACCA qualification.

Who we are looking for:

“There is a human touch here, and it’s very easy to fit in. It’s as much about the sort of person you are, as it is your academic credentials”. Fabien Spaccarotella, Broker, Singapore.

We expect you to already be a high achiever – you will have an excellent academic record with a predicted/awarded 2:1 in any degree discipline. You will have strong interpersonal and networking skills, a proven interest in financial markets and many extra curricular interests. You will be well prepared and will have researched ICAP and the world of interdealer broking. You will have a personal view on our recent successes and potential growth areas of our business. A second language is a definite advantage.

How to apply?

You will need to apply online at www.icap.com/careers . The deadline for full-time applications is Sunday December 2, 2007 and for internship applications, Sunday January 31, 2008.
